It was the home side who started the game with purpose and their opening goal arrived in the 11th minute when a corner picked out Ben Martin who planted his header home.
Having seen the experienced Chris Todd forced to leave the action early on, further chances were few and far between for either side during the remainder of the opening period, although it was the home side who saw more of the ball.
The second goal finally arrived for St. Albans with 50 minutes on the clock when Tom Bender picked out Louie Theophanous and he made no mistake to guide the ball beyond the despairing grasp of Tom McHale.
It was 3-0 ten minutes later as the lively Junior Morias got in a strike that was blocked by McHale only for the ball to fall to the alert Theophanous who was able to force the ball home.
It left Truro City with a mountain to climb and we fell further behind with around ten minutes to play when Morias broke through and gave the ‘keeper no chance.
Towards the end a break down the right for the home side ended with the ball delivered invitingly where Morias reacted the quickest to complete the scoring.
Whilst The White Tigers had a couple of half-chances right at the death, we failed to seriously trouble the home back-line.
