WHITE Tigers’ boss, Lee Hodges, was disappointed to see his side slip to a 3-2 defeat at an in-form Whitehawk.
“They are a much-changed side from earlier in the season; had they had this team from the start of the season, they would be right up there now,” he admitted. “It’s one of the few occasions where I’ve had to say that we got what we deserved.
“We just weren’t at it. We gave ourselves an opportunity by getting in front going into the break, but we were nowhere near where we needed to be in the second half.
“It’s disappointing because this was a chance for us to keep the pressure on the leading teams. We’re still in a strong position, but it wasn’t our day today.
“We now have to pick ourselves up and be ready to go again in the next game. It proves that if you are not at it, you will get beat in this League.
“Our attention now turns to getting the right result out of our next game.”
