WHITE Tigers’ boss, Paul Wilkinson, was pleased with the performance of his side but disappointed that we came out on the wrong side of the fine margins in our 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Gloucester City.
“It was our best performance since I have been at the club,” he said. “The boys are frustrated because we created enough chances to have won more than one game.
“Football is full of fine margins; we controlled the game and looked the most likely side but we have fallen the wrong side of it on this occasion.
“We started the second half well but when the penalty didn’t go in, all of a sudden we are on the back-foot.
“That said, we kept going and pulled a goal back towards the end but it wasn’t quite to be.
“Now we have to make sure that we are ready for Monday. This game has gone now and we have to concentrate on Hampton & Richmond Borough.
“If we can perform as we have done today, we’ll give ourselves every chance of getting the right result. We have to maintain our focus and spirit because things can change rapidly.”
