It was another frustrating afternoon for the White Tigers who failed to find a breakthrough at Bolitho Park drawing 0-0 with Hartley Wintney on Saturday.

Despite chances for both sides neither team could find that all important goal in glorious conditions in Plymouth.

It was the visitors who started the stronger of the teams, but they failed to really test James Hamon in the Truro goal.

City then had their first real chance of the game in which they thought they had opened the scoring.

Will Dean expertly picked out Rio Garside who beat the offside trap before unselfishly passing across goal to Rocky Neal who tapped home into the empty net, but the offside flag did go up against the striker much to the frustration of the City players.

Neal was then superbly denied from close range by the Hartley keeper. The forward got on the end of a Shane White cross, but his header was excellently pushed away by the visiting shot stopper.

Going into the second half it was Hartley Wintney who had the better of the chances.
Kingsley Eshun had a low shot saved by Truro goalkeeper Hamon, as he dived low to his right to push the ball away.

Up the other end Neal had a header go just wide before Tyler Harvey saw an effort blocked just when he was about to pull the trigger.

Rocky Neal then had another header saved. Connor Riley-Lowe whipped in a delightful cross to the back post where Neal was waiting to head home but his header was once again pushed away by the hand of the Hartley keeper.

The visitors had a chance to win it late on but Hamon again brilliantly saved Eshun’s effort to ensure the points were shared.

A frustrating day for Paul Wotton and his side but they are back in action again on Monday as they make the trip to Somerset to take on Taunton Town.
