Truro City Football Club has announced its pre-season fixtures ahead of a much-anticipated season in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier League.
Two home games in July will no doubt be a real test of the team’s character and quality for the forthcoming season as the White Tigers play League Two competition in the shape of Exeter City on July 5 followed by what will be a very popular game on Tuesday, July 9 against Plymouth Argyle.
The two first home games of the season will be followed by a series of local fixtures both at home and away taking on the likes of Bideford AFC, Falmouth Town and Buckland Athletic.
The pre-season fixture list has been released as the Club, which was recently acquired by the Cornish Pirates, puts the finishing touches to its 2019/20 campaign squad and support staff.
Manager Paul Wilkinson signed a new two-year contract with the Club on Monday and on Wednesday, Cornish-lad James Ward, 26, signed a one-year contract to take up the centre half position at the Club.
More new signings are expected in the coming weeks ahead of the new season.
Manager Paul Wilkinson said: “Players such as James see the potential of Truro City to perform well in the Southern Premier League. He is a strong, powerful, ball-playing centre half who has an eye for goal from set pieces. He will be a great fit for the squad.
“We know that the supporters have been anxiously waiting for news of signings ahead of this season and I am delighted that we can finally start sharing news of our playing and support staff in the coming weeks.”
Tickets for all home games are available at the gate at Treyew Road and are priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, over 65s and under 16s.
