AN UPDATE ON OUR REMAINING HOME GAMES IN 23-24

BY GARETH DAVIES

Truro City can confirm that the club’s remaining Vanarama National League South home fixtures for 2023-24, will take place at Meadow Park, home of Gloucester City.

The unprecedented rainfall that has affected the South West over the past weeks has been the catalyst for this decision, to ensure that our home fixture fulfilment needs are met.

As with every decision that has been made regarding venues for home matches since the turn of the year, it was not one taken lightly, but with the club’s best short-term interests in mind.

And once again, we understand the significant impact this will have on our loyal and passionate fanbase. But we urge our supporters to understand that this decision enables the team to complete this season with security that games will go ahead on an artificial surface, thus allowing time and energy to be focused on moving back home to Cornwall for 2024-25.

The club would like to thank Gloucester City for their continued support in hosting our home matches, along with the National League for their understanding at the circumstances and situation that we as a club find ourselves in.

The temporary switch to Gloucester has resulted in some adjustments to kick-off times for our remaining home fixtures. The club can also advise on rearranged dates for recently postponed clashes against both Hemel Hempstead and Weymouth.

However, the outcome of Tuesday’s abandoned match against Eastbourne Borough is yet to be decided and will be communicated by the club in due course.
