Player Profile

Cody Cooke has been a consistent performer for City and only two weeks ago scored his first league hat trick after coming on as a sub against Hereford Utd. Indeed, he could easily have scored four as one of his strikes hit the upright. Cody started his career on the 27th August 2011 at an away game at Havant & Waterlooville (Conference South), where we lost 4-1. It was the only game where we have played in a silver/grey away strip. Cody's first two goals came in December 2011 at an away game on the last Tuesday night before Christmas at Sutton Utd. Sutton were high flying at the time and we travelled with just 13 players in the squad and came away with an incredible draw.

In his first season he played 20 games and scored twice. 12 of those games were starts and his first Club start was against Ebbsfleet in the FA Trophy. In his second season 2012/13, Cody made 39 starts and appeared 43 times and scored one goal. However, it was perhaps 2013/14 where Cody matured and appreared another 47 times and scored 13 goals. Up to and including today's game against Histon, Cody has appeared 146 times for City. One of the factors behind Cody's success is the support from his mum and dad; Nick can be found at nearly every City game. One could say that Cody has a decent career ahead of him.
