Cody Cooke enjoyed the afternoon with two goals, the Supporters Player of the Year and the Chairman's Player of the Year

City made sure of finishing the season with a win as it finished 3-0 against Burnham this afternoon at Treyew Road.

With the pitch more resembling a paddy field rather than something for football as we had a heavy rain downpour just before kick off, City had already made a change to their originally announced starting line up as Paul Kendall who was on the team sheet had to be replaced by Les Afful who was brought down for the first goal.

A quickly taken free kick by Jamie Lowry, found Afful inside the box and when the Burnham keeper Adam Lawrence upended him, referee Steve Annis had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot.

Ben Watson, level on goals for the first team with Liam Eddy, also had no hesitation in taking the spot kick and made no mistake to put Truro in front.

Before the first half was over, and straight after Nick Kebamba had headed against the bar, Cody Cooke had doubled the lead when he hammered home from a precision pull-back from Watson and the White Tigers were well on course for their fourth win in the last five matches.

That goal from Watson meant he picked up the club's Golden Boot award after the game, with Liam Eddy stuck on 12 after being unable to add to his season's first team tally after replacing Watson in the 63rd minute.

The goalscoring was completed by Cooke notching his second of the day giving Lawrence no chance as his shot from 12 yards ended up in the corner of Burnham's net.

It was a win to end the season off well and leave everyone already looking forward to 9th August 2014, when it starts all over again for season 2104-15!
