A single second half strike from skipper of the day and man of the match Dan Green was enough for the three points.

There were two enforced changes with Jake Ash replacing the suspended Paul Kendall, while Ben Watson started as Jamie Lowry was unavailable to travel.

And it was Watson who early on found himself in the Bedford penalty area
and firing a shot across the face of the Eagles' goal.

Truro controlled most of the first half, even if the game might have had the feel of an end of season touch to it.

A header from Cody Cooke forced Lee Crockett to palm the ball away off the line, before Jamie Nicholls swept up, while Arran Pugh was on the receiving end of a free kick into the Bedford area, but headed over.

On 59 minutes, Osei-Addo got the better of two defenders, on the right, and squared the ball across the edge of the area to Rob Parker who fired over the bar.

The let-off for the visitors was all too evident a minute later, when the Bedford defence was caught square after a cross from the right. The ball found Watson, whose initial shot was saved point-blank by Crockett. Watson struck the rebound against the left hand post before the ball was played in front of Dan Green, and from 15 yards, the Truro captain fired a shot past Crockett and into the net.

Jordan Davis was brought on, and almost immediately he made his presence felt with a neat flick that bamboozled the Truro defence, releasing Parker for a clear shot at goal. Unfortunately the shot was blazed over the bar.

Late in the game, it was hard to see whether Rawlings’ free kick was saved by Fisher or came off the foot of the left hand post. Either way, the ball spun free and was miscued by Nicholls before Warren Daw put it off for a corner.

A minute before the final whistle, Watson set up Liam Eddy, but when it looked as though the substitute would put the game out of Bedford’s reach, Crockett saved.
