One to forget quickly!

After another good first half performance where we have held our own and come in level 0-0 at half-time, we had a “crazy second half” conceding six goals!

Just like last week, it was 0-0 again at half-time with us having some good pressure, even hitting the post, but once more a second half crash! Six goals conceded in the second period of 45 minutes!

In front of an official attendance of 90, the crowd were treated to a goal feast from the home side. With just one minute of the second half completed we fell behind when Dean Stow scored his third in four games with a cheeky little clip over Olly Chenoweth.

In the 53rd minute Jon Boardman made it two with a header at the near post, and on the hour the contest seemed effectively over when 18 year old Elliott Legg scored to send us 3 down!

With the home side playing down the slope they looked capable of scoring from every attack and so to the home support it came as no surprise when indeed they hit the back of our net three more times. Stefan Brown with his left after a great ball over the top got their fourth, he also notched the fifth, before Michael Hopkins wrapped it up in the 82nd minute with an effort direct from a free-kick, curling the ball into the top corner.

What else is there to say but it was an awful night for TCFC, crashing to a 6-0 scoreline, the worst defeat of season and our third in a row.

CITY changes from Saturday's match v Biggleswade : Pearce in for Daw, Pugh back in from suspension and no Dan Evans present
