THE WHITE Tigers were held to a 1-1 draw by Bognor Regis Town at Treyew Road.
Our visitors looked the more likely side in the opening stages as they began on top only for us to take the lead against the run of play just after the quarter-hour mark when Noah Keats delivered an inviting ball onto the head of Ben Gerring who made no mistake.
Despite falling a goal behind, Bognor refused to let their heads drop and continued to see plenty of the ball as they searched for a leveller.
It finally arrived with six minutes to go until the break when Ibra Sekajja cut inside from the left and managed to get in a powerful strike that evaded the grasp of Tom McHale.
The second period saw The White Tigers get on top as we came out of the blocks with a lot more purpose.
However, we found our visitors in stubborn mood as they held firm to restrict us to only a handful of genuine opportunities.
There was a decent opening for Keats as he made room for a strike that was saved by Dan Lincoln, whilst Rocky Neal worked hard after joining the action but he failed to provide a breakthrough.
It could have been worse for us as Sekajja went close to notching his second goal of the afternoon before a late effort from Ferdinand Taky flashed just wide of the target as the game ended with honours even.
It was a generally frustrating afternoon for The White Tigers in front of a crowd of 604 as we picked up only our second point from the last three League games to take us in next weekend’s big FA Cup first round tie at Charlton Athletic.
