Smash-and-grab for The White Tigers...

THE WHITE Tigers produced the perfect smash-and-grab away performance to come from behind for the second game in a row and claim a 2-1 victory over in-form opposition as this time Havant & Waterlooville were beaten.
It was the home side who started off on the front-foot and Fogden went close with a strike that was deflected just wide of the target.
A deep cross from Tarbuck found Lewis at the far post but he was denied by a smart save from Tom McHale before a break down the left this time ended with Tarbuck going close.
It was all the home side in the opening exchanges and our first serious effort on goal didn’t arrive until the half-hour mark when Cody Cooke turned well before firing straight at the ‘keeper.
Williams went close on a couple of occasions for our hosts as the opening period ended goalless thanks to some resolute defending from The White Tigers to frustrate our hosts.
The second half started in much the same vein with Priors getting the ball in for Williams who was off target with his strike then Tarbuck dragged an effort wide.
We were restricted to long-range efforts as Ed Palmer saw a free-kick go over and it was little surprise when we fell behind on 65 minutes when Rutherford was able to fire home off the underside of the bar following a quick breakaway.
The lead lasted barely five minutes, though, as Noah Keats was able to finish off a neat move on the left-hand side.
McHale did well to deny Barker from a free-kick but we were looking full of belief as we approached the closing stages and it was deep into stoppage time that substitute, Rocky Neal, set up Cody Cooke who made no mistake as his rich vein of scoring form continues.
It gave us all three points from a game in which we had to put our bodies on the line and battle it out. The victory also made it three wins in a row as we strengthened our position amongst the leading pack in the table.
WHITE TIGERS: McHale, Palfrey, Riley-Lowe, Palmer, Gerring, Richards, Lamont, Keats, Harvey (Yetton 77), Cooke, Harding (Neal 77). SUBS NOT USED: Todd, Copp, Thompson.
