at play-off hopefuls, Chelmsford City following two second half goals.
Despite the scoreline, there were plenty of positives to come out of the performance, particularly in the first half where we looked solid to keep our hosts at bay and had the best chance when a long-range effort from Niall Thompson landed just wide.
Thompson caused the home side problems for much of the afternoon but we failed to find the breakthrough and were made to pay six minutes into the second period when Robbie Wilmott put in a cross that found Elliott Buchanan who found the neat with a volley.
We continued to battle and almost grabbed an equaliser soon afterwards when Thompson’s inviting cross fell at the feet of Rocky Neal whose effort was dragged wide of the target.
As the clock ticked down, Truro committed men forward as we pushed for what would have been a deserved equaliser, however, we were caught out with ten minutes to go as Shaun Jeffers was able to bundle the ball home at the far post following another Willmott cross.
The goal made the game safe for the home side who were certainly given a stern test by Lee Hodges’ men.
