Truro City 2, Margate 1
Truro City extended their unbeaten run to eight games in Vanarama South and at the third time of asking Steve Tully's men finally had the beating of Margate.
Goals from Cody Cooke and Craig Duff sealed the points for City, who gained revenge for the 4-1 FA Cup defeat they suffered at the hands of Margate earlier this month. The sides also met on the opening day of the season when City were held to a 1-1 draw.
But Tully couldn't have asked for anymore from his side in the opening 45 minutes as they led 2-0 at the break.
Cooke produced an excellent finish in the 23rd minute when he lashed home Dan Green's cross.
Buoyed by that goal the home side added a second goal on 32 minutes, Duff this time providing the finish with a brilliant turn and finish from 12 yards out.
City looked comfortable for much of the second half but they were given a Halloween fright when Kane Wills pulled a goal back on 77 minutes when he produced a wonderful angled effort into the top corner.
But Truro, who handed a debut to new signing from Bath, Danny Barrow as a second substitute, held on to continue their good run and get the better of Margate at the third time of asking.
