Manager Glynn Hooper is more than pleased with the way the county's young players have responded in the trials including last Thursday's friendly.

Now, the waiting is almost over to see who the successful players are that have made the 17 man squad for Saturday's FA Youth Cup match with Guernsey.

Glynn has taken his time over choosing the squad, many hours of pondering and discussing with his coaching team and he is now confident the squad chosen has the right balance.

However, as has been the case all the way through the trials, he and his team continue to check up on the progress of other players across the County.

Finally, many thanks to the huge number of people who were there at the match on Thursday, it's great for the players to know they have so many behind them and supporting the squad. Hopefully as many as possible can be there again on Saturday.

Truro City also gave the players a real "matchday experience" and must be congratulated on the way they hosted the event.

Just to remind everyone, the first competitive game is again at Truro City on Saturday 19th September, 2.00pm KO.

The squad will be released later today and will appear first on the CCFA website.
