Yesterday we made our final plea to the Secretary of State to rubber stamp our proposals that will allow us to build the new football ground a Silver Bow.
We were joined by our friends and colleagues from the S4C project who also made the journey to the Capital, like minded in wanting their final approval to allow us both to get on with the task of getting the projects built without further delay.
In addition to the Secretary of State, around the table was no less than four of our local Members of Parliament as well as representatives from the Developers of both projects and Cornwall Council.
It was a productive meeting and we left feeling that the balance weighed in favour of both the Truro City football ground and the Stadium for Cornwall getting the final approval. It was a long day which may well be proven to have been a pivotal moment for Cornish Sport.
We live in hope that Cornwall will get the decision that will allow us all to have the sporting facilities to compete on equal terms with the rest of United Kingdom. Further details will be released shortly on the agreement between the S4C and Truro City Football Club.
