TCFC Press release 23rd April 2015

“The programming for planning the next two seasons for the TCFC is more complicated than you might think” says Peter Master the chairman of the club.

The club is well advanced in making their plans for a move from Treyew Road to Silver Bow at Threemilestone. The planning application for the retail development that will pay for the new ground was deferred by the SPC in March because they wanted to determine the application for Silver Bow at the same time.

This was submitted two weeks ago. It was hoped that both these applications would be heard at the May meeting. This would enable Helical to lay the pitch in time for the growing season this autumn in readiness for the following season. This ties in with the commitments the club has to make to the Football League as to where they will play in the 2016/17 season.

This has now been thrown in doubt by the announcement from the planners that the applications won’t be heard until the 18th June SPC.

“This might appear to be just one month but this means we may miss the deadline dates for ground sharing arrangements with the Football League and the ability for the pitch to settle in time for the start of the following season” says Peter Masters.

Peter Masters has urged the politicians to consider these applications at the earliest opportunity in May so that all plans and programming can be firmed up.
