Incident-packed game ends in a 3-2 loss...

THE WHITE Tigers fell to a 3-2 defeat at Dulwich Hamlet in an incident-packed game that saw us end with nine men.
Having endured a difficult journey to the game, we were almost caught cold early on when a home raid ended with the ball cleared in front of goal.
It didn’t take us long to get into our stride, though, and a free-kick from Riley-Lowe picked out the head of Grimes who went close.
A neat passage of play ended with Riley-Lowe putting in an inviting ball across the danger zone but sadly no-one was able to get on the end of it to turn the ball home.
Just before the half-hour mark and Corey Harvey, who was back in goal, made a smart save, whilst at the other end Banton fired over from a good position.
The home side went close through Akinyeme but he soon made amends for his miss by giving his side the lead as he lashed home.
As the home side looked to add to their lead before the break, we were reduced to ten men when Herve received his marching orders.
We made the worst possible start to the second half as Ferguson curled home to double the home side’s advantage.
It could have been worse as Akinyeme saw his effort beat Harvey but hit the woodwork and rebound to safety.
Shortly afterwards we pulled a goal back with a strike from distance out of the blue by Battle that left the home ‘keeper clutching at thin air as the ball sailed into the net.
The goal galvanised us and as we pressed for a leveller, our cause was made considerably more difficult when Richards received a second yellow card to leave us with nine men.
It took the wind out of our sails and Harvey was called up to thwart our hosts who sensed an opportunity to extend their lead.
As it was, we managed to equalise from the penalty spot as Riley-Lowe stayed cool to slot home.
The home side had a man sent off as the clock ticked down before they proceeded to nick the win with a goal late on to make it 3-2 and break City hearts.
