Deserved three points at Chelmsford City...

THE WHITE Tigers made it five games unbeaten with an excellent 2-0 victory at Chelmsford City.
In the November sunshine, it was the home side who had the first efforts on goal as Spillane and Fenwick both tried their luck but were off target.
They were made to pay for their misses as we scored from our first real foray as Tom Richards opening the scoring with just six minutes on the clock.
With our tails up in the wake of the goal, Leigh-Gilchrist went close with a powerful drive before we were awarded a penalty when Tyler Harvey was upended inside the area.
It was Harvey who stepped up to fire home and double our advantage.
We were enjoying the majority of possession as the day got worse for our hosts when they were reduced to ten men just before the half-hour as Rhys Murphy was dismissed for a heavy challenge on Jamie Richards.
The closing stages of the first half saw Whelpdale fire into the side-netting for the hosts whilst at the other end, a River Allen corner caused all sorts of problems as our hosts scrambled away from in front of goal.
We started the second period on the front-foot with Harvey having a couple of efforts saved.
As our hosts tried to find a way back into the game, they found us in resolute and determined mood to keep them at bay and frustrate them.
Just minutes after entering the action, Noah Keats was denied by a good save from the ‘keeper, whilst at the other end, Niall Thompson did well to thwart the home side as they looked to make progress into the penalty area.
We managed to see the remainder of the game out to secure an excellent and fully deserved victory.
