3-0 reverse for The White Tigers...

THE WHITE Tigers slipped to a disappointing 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Chelmsford City.
A free-kick on the edge of the area following a foul on Lewington presented us with a good early opportunity as Riley-Lowe whipped the ball onto the head of Tyler Harvey who went close.
Our next raid saw Banton played through the middle but his effort went the wrong side of the post.
Another free-kick caused problems and as the ball found its way to Banton, he went close before Corey Harvey was called into action at the other end to keep out a header from Wright.
As our visitors started to get into their stride, they were thwarted on a couple of occasions by Corey Harvey.
With ten minutes to go until the interval, Murphy finally put the visitors in front following a spell of pressure.
We attempted to hit back straight away but Dan Rooney’s strike from a tight angle was well saved by the ‘keeper.
The early action of the second period saw Tyler Harvey link up well with Lewington whose strike rattled the woodwork.
It was bad luck for us as we started the half with purpose. Another inviting free-kick delivered into the area from Riley-Lowe had to be scrambled clear but our visitors posed a threat on the break and Whelpdale was denied by a good save from Corey Harvey.
The visitors managed to double their advantage on the hour when Isaac was on hand to turn the ball home.
We made a couple of changes in a bid to get back into the game and Diau came on for his debut. He almost scored with one of his first touches as he received the ball from Banton but dragged his effort wide of the target.
Our afternoon got worse on 67 minutes when we conceded a penalty and Corey Harvey was sent off. Murphy stayed cool to fire beyond the reach of Rivers to make it 3-0.
As Diau and Tyler Harvey linked up, the visitors got men back to block a strike from the latter.
At the other end Rivers did well to deny Giles on a two occasions in quick succession but we ended the game on the end of a three-goal reverse to leave us just one place above the relegation zone.
