White Tigers fall 2-0 at Chippenham Town...

THE WHITE Tigers slipped to a disappointed 2-0 defeat at Chippenham Town following a disjointed display where we were never able to fully get into our stride.
It was a scrappy start to proceedings with both sides unable to get into their stride in the opening exchanges.
The White Tigers started to put a few neat moves together as we approached the half-hour mark with Cody Cooke and Tyler Harvey both seeing efforts parried by the home ‘keeper.
The final ball was letting us down on too many occasions as this allowed our hosts to start to build up a head of steam as we approached the interval.
However, it was a pretty evenly-matched affair with genuine chances at a premium for either side until Chippenham managed to break the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when Andy Sandell managed to find the net.
Ben Gerring was maybe fortunate to escape without a card as he hit out at an opponent whose trailing arm caught him in the face.
The second period started with the home side looking the most likely side as we failed to get a foothold into the game.
McHale did well to deny Nick McCootie as he was alert to seize upon a backpass and close in on goal.
It prompted The White Tigers to make a triple change in a bid to turn our fortunes around.
We fell two goals behind with just six minutes to go when Sandell did well on the right to free himself from the attentions of Ed Palmer before crossing invitingly for Michael Jones who reacted the quickest to guide the ball home.
It was fair to say that it was a bad day in the office and one of those performances in which we need to put behind us straight away and be ready to go again in our next game.

WHITE TIGERS: McHale, Palfrey (Thompson), Riley-Lowe, Palmer, Gerring, Richards, Lamont (Keats), Owen-Evans, Harvey (Neal), Cooke, Harding: Subs not used: Hartridge, Copp.
