REACTION: White Tigers unlucky as unbeaten run comes to an end

3 months ago By Truro City Football Club

Boss eyes the start of another positive run of results...

SO, AFTER ten games unbeaten, The White Tigers finally slipped to a narrow defeat with a 2-1 reverse at Wealdstone on Saturday.
“It’s always disappointing to lose and that was the case at the weekend,” said manager, Lee Hodges. “We knew that it had to end sometime; what the lads have achieved has been phenomenal, it’s a great achievement and now the challenge is to start another run straight away.
“I felt that we fought well at Wealdstone. The conditions were tricky for both teams and ultimately it was a poor few minutes from us which cost us in the end.
“I was pleased with the amount of chances that we created, particularly in the second half where we looked the most likely side only to find their goalkeeper in inspired form.
“We certainly deserved something from the game, but it was fine margins and now the focus turns to responding in the right way and the challenge that Bognor Regis Town will pose to us on Saturday.”
