Manager full of praise as his team clock up the miles...

THE WHITE TIGERS have certainly clocked up the miles this week, and it has ended with victory and progress in the Buildbase FA Trophy.
The week started with a win at Hungerford Town last weekend before we headed to Braintree Town on Tuesday and came home with a good point from a 1-1 draw before our 3-1 triumph in Sussex against Lewes.
“We’ve covered a lot of miles this week,” said manager, Lee Hodges. “In fact, we’ve done the equivalent of going from Land’s End to John o’ Groats and back with an extra four miles on top for good measure!
“The players have given me absolutely everything; we made seven changes today but I was very pleased with the performance.
“We weren’t at it for the opening 20 minutes or so, but once we started to get into our stride, we grabbed two goals in quick succession and took things from there.
“The lads ran their socks off and we scored three good goals against a good side who are top of their League with only one defeat all season.
“It was a professional job. It’s great to be involved in this competition and with a Wembley Final at the end of it, we want to do well and get as far as we can.
“We’re in the hat for the first round now when The National League teams come into it, so let’s see where it takes us.
“We’ll celebrate the win on the long journey home before turning our attention to the next game, which sees us return to home action against a strong St. Albans City side next weekend.
“It’s a very tight League, so it’s another important one for us and we look to do well in every competition that we are involved in.”
