Boss gives his verdict on our draw at Welling United...

THE WHITE Tigers shared the spoils at Welling United in a 2-2 draw that leaves us in seventh place in the table, just three points off top spot.
“It was a good point away from home,” admitted manager, Lee Hodges. “This is not an easy place to come to but I think that a draw was probably a fair result in the end.
“After losing our previous two games, I was pleased with the fight and character displayed by the lads; they worked hard out there and gave it a real go.
“We scored two good goals and played some decent stuff.
“It’s such a tight League. We’re half-way through it now and we find ourselves in a fantastic position, just three points off the top.
“There are sure to be plenty of twists and turns to come, but it’s safe to say that there won’t be one club running away with it this year.
“It’s such an even competition and if you’re not at it in any game you will get beaten, it’s as simple as that.”
We take a break from League matters next weekend as we head to Vanarama National League high-flyers, Sutton United, in the first round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.
“It’s another big Cup day for us to look forward to,” added Hodges. “We will go there and enjoy the occasion with no pressure.
“The lads are looking forward to testing themselves against one of the top sides from the level above, so we’ll see what happens.
“It’ll be tough on the 3G surface, but we will prepare in the right way and go there prepared to work hard and battle for everything.”
