WHITE Tigers' boss, Lee Hodges, was delighted to see his side roll their sleeves up and battle out a much-needed three points against Hungerford Town on Tuesday evening.
"The conditions made it extremely difficult," he admitted. "The pitch was heavy and it was only when you stepped on to the pitch that you realised how strong the wind was.
"It was the kind of night where you had to roll your sleeves up and dig in, which we did in the second half to get our reward.
"We were not so good during the opening period, but at this stage of the season it is about points over performance and I was delighted with our response to the defeat at Chippenham Town last weekend.
"Hungerford were always going to make life difficult for us because they need the points to secure their status at this level and they pushed us all of the way.
"It took a lot out of the boys, but we will be ready to go again on Saturday for what is another massive game as we entertain Braintree Town in our final home game of the season."
