Manager gives his verdict on reverse at the hands of Hemel Hempstead Town...

WHITE Tigers’ boss, Leigh Robinson, has expressed his frustration after we suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Hemel Hempstead Town.
It was a game in which we had a couple of goals disallowed and also saw a couple of clearances off the line as we ended with nine men on the field following late red cards for Ed Palmer and Noah Keats.
“It was the same old story,” said Robinson. “We played well, missed chances and our lack of concentration cost us.
“On the balance of play, we were ahead, but they took their chances through sloppy defending.
“Individual mistakes are costing us at the moment; it’s extremely frustrating but there were positives to take out of the performance as well.
“I thought that the new lads slotted in well and gave a good account of themselves, whilst our fitness and freshness looked much better and we played some decent stuff.
“But you can’t defend the way we have for their goals because teams at this level will punish you.
“There only looked like being one winner as the second half went on but sadly we got caught out late on and then there were the red cards, myself included, as it ended in sheer frustration.
“We’ll go away and work hard over these next two weeks before our next game. We are showing a lot of good stuff, but there are also areas of our game that need attention as they are costing us.
“We’re due a change of luck at some point. By working hard we can change our fortunes but we need to start helping ourselves.”
