THE WHITE Tigers returned to winning ways at the weekend with a deserved 2-0 victory over Oxford City at Treyew Road.
“Saturday was more about the result than the performance,” admitted manager, Leigh Robinson. “In the previous two games against Wealdstone and Billericay we probably played better than Saturday but lost, that’s football as they say.
“The pressure was on us a bit after a couple of defeats plus Gloucester picking up some good results recently, so it was certainly a big three points.
“We seem to have a good habit this year of picking up wins when they are most needed but it’s the ability to go on a run and put three or four results together in a row that moves you up the table, so whilst Saturday was a relief, we have some hard games to come with St. Albans, Woking and Bath City on the horizon.
“We need to be taking something from these games to ensure we are not under pressure like we found ourselves this week. “
