Truro City Football Club (TCFC) fans are a step closer to their Club’s new home, following the announcement by developer Helical Retail that it has acquired an option from Wycliffe Estates to purchase a site known as Silver Bow, at Threemilestone, for the Club’s relocation.

The site, just off the A30 on the A390, is directly opposite the entrance to the proposed Langarth Development, which has planning consent for 1,500 houses. Helical Retail expects to submit a planning application for a football ground and related uses, in the next few months.

Philip King, Development Manager for Helical Retail said,
“This is an ideal location for TCFC’s relocation. It is close to the Park and Ride and a number of bus routes and will offer the Club a springboard to develop their facilities in the years to come.”

Peter Masters, Chairman of TCFC said,
“The acquisition and development of the Silver Bow site will create long term certainty for the Club to implement its plans. We can now put the uncertainties of the past few years behind us and focus on our plans to build a new Stadium for Truro City Football Club to Conference level standard whilst incorporating a much needed youth academy to channel young footballers throughout Cornwall into playing at the highest level.”
