Welling United are the visitors on Saturday...

THE WHITE Tigers are back in Plainmoor action on Saturday as we take on Welling United (kick-off 3.00pm).
Having slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chippenham Town on Tuesday, we will be looking for an instant response.
“We face a strong Welling United outfit,” said interim manager, Ben Harding. “They are a tall and powerful outfit and it will be a case of us doing the right things at the right times to prevent them from playing to their strengths.
“We were disappointed to come out of Tuesday’s game with nothing to show for our efforts; we conceded the opening goal at a poor time and whilst we were much better in the second half and created some good chances, we failed to make them count and it cost us in the end.
“We need to be able to defend better as a unit and be able to manage games better than we have done if we are to progress and get points on the board.
“There is plenty for us to work on, as there always is at this stage of the season, but we’ll be focussed and determined as we look to get our first points here in these new surroundings.
“We’re not going to use playing home games here as an excuse; as footballers you have to be able to adapt and there have certainly been positive aspects of our play in the games so far.”
Our visitors go into the game with two wins and two draws from their games so far. They started the season with a 2-0 victory over Dulwich Hamlet before losing 1-0 at Eastbourne Borough. A 4-1 win at Chippenham Town put them in good heart before they were brought crashing down to earth on Tuesday with a 3-0 home reverse at the hands of high-flying Billericay Town.
