THE WHITE Tigers head to Hemel Hempstead on Saturday having fallen into the bottom three following the abandonment of our last game.
A serious injury to Michael Herve saw our encounter with Concord Rangers abandoned as we slipped to 20th place in the table, but we’re only two points off 17th position with a game in hand.
We take on a Hemel Hempstead Town outfit that sit safely in mid-table. They lost 2-1 at Oxford City in their last game, but will be keen to do the double over us having won 2-1 in the reverse of this fixture in October courtesy of a late goal in a game which saw Ed Palmer, Noah Keats and Alex Osborn all dismissed in a crazy final minute.
Manager, Paul Wilkinson, is in upbeat mood ahead of the game.
“We’ll go there in a positive frame of mind,” he said. “We want to make sure that we stay in games and are hard to beat.
“If we can do that then we’ll give ourselves every chance of achieving our objectives.
“We found ourselves under a fair amount of pressure during the first half last weekend but we played well after the break and looked the most likely side going into that final 20-15 minutes before the game was abandoned.
“The most important thing was making sure that Michael got the correct care and we wish him a speedy recovery after what was a nasty injury.”
Herve a badly fractured humerus, an injury that will keep him out of action for at least the next three months.
