THE WHITE Tigers face the first of three home pre-season friendly fixtures on Thursday evening with the visit of Exeter City (kick-off 7.00pm).
Having won 5-1 at Cullompton Rangers and then 3-1 at Bodmin Town in our previous fixtures this summer, we will face a stern test against Matt Taylor’s side.
Admission will be £7 (adults) and £3 (under18s)
We then play host to a Cardiff City XI at noon on Sunday before locking horns with a Swansea City XI on July 18th. A Matchday Programme will be produced to cover all three games.
“We’ve got more games in our pre-season schedule this time around compared to last year, but as a player I know that I preferred playing in matches rather than having extra training sessions at this time of the year,” admitted manager, Lee Hodges. “It’s a good programme of games for us. These three home fixtures will give us the challenge that we need and it’s always nice for the players to be able to test themselves against higher level opponents.
“We’re looking forward to it and hopefully there will be a decent turn out of supporters to get behind us.
“We have been pleased with the fitness levels of the players during these first couple of weeks. We’ve had some positive sessions so far and this will continue as the month goes on so that we are ready to hit the ground running at the beginning of August when the action gets underway for real.”
