White Tigers host Hemel Hemsptead Town on Saturday...

THE WHITE Tigers return to action on Saturday as we entertain Hemel Hempstead Town at Plainmoor (kick-off 3.00pm).
It will be our first action in a fortnight, since defeat at Concord Rangers, and manager, Leigh Robinson, is eager to see his side back out there.
“It seems a long time since our last game and the boys are desperate to get back playing,” he said. “September was a frustrating month after a good start with the win at Gloucester and not a lot went right when you look at Tyler and Louis getting injured, playing really well against Hampton and Richmond but not scoring, missing some good chances late on in the FA Cup at Hereford and Alex Hartridge being recalled by Exeter, so hopefully a change in fortune is due more than anything else.
“We have a few fresh faces in for Saturday with River Allen returning to the club and Dan Rooney and Jordan Bentley, two highly-rated young players, arriving on loan from Plymouth Argyle, whilst we have been working hard on our fitness levels.
“It’s certainly not all doom and gloom. Only really at Concord were we well beaten and not good enough on the day. In all of the other games we had really good spells but haven’t quite put together a 90 minute performance apart from at Gloucester.
“Personally I am still very positive about the season moving forward. I knew what I was coming into during September and knew that the fitness levels were way below what is expected and that we'd have to get a few bodies out and new faces in, which we are now starting to do.
“There is still plenty of football to be played and I have seen enough from the players, albeit in spells, to know that we still have a competitive squad.”
We face a Hemel Hempstead Town outfit that recently lost their manager to Billericay Town and sit 14th in the table.
Come and show your support as we look to secure our first victory at Plainmoor.
