White Tigers on the Wembley Trail in the Buildbase FA Trophy...

THE WHITE Tigers are on the Wembley Trail this weekend as we travel to Lewes in the Buildbase FA Trophy third round qualifying (kick-off 3.00pm).
The Sussex outfit may be a couple of levels below us, but they are enjoying a great season in the Bostick League South Division where they sit top of the table with just one defeat in 18 League games.
We also go into the game full of confidence following impressive displays in our two tricky games on the road this week, at Hungerford Town last weekend and Braintree Town on Tuesday evening.
“It’s been a tough week for us,” admitted manager, Lee Hodges. “We had to play for around 70 minutes with ten men at Hungerford and then we had one of our longest journeys of the season to Braintree on Tuesday.
“The lads have given me everything and it’s taken a lot out of them. We’ve got a few niggles and we’re going to have to utilise the full squad.
“I was really pleased with our performance on Tuesday; we competed well and whilst a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play, we created the better chances, particularly in the second half as we grew into the game.
“We’re in a strong position in the table, but we put the League to one side this weekend and concentrate on making progress in this competition.
“We face a Lewes side who are doing well and will cause us problems, but we go there full of confidence and belief.”
Hodges was full of praise for The White Tigers’ faithful who have given the team such tremendous backing all season.
“The fans made a lot of noise on Tuesday,” he added. “It was great to see the turn-out and their support meant such a lot to us. The players and I were extremely proud of them and we would like to thank them for their dedication.
“Hopefully we’ll have another vocal following on Saturday.”
You heard the man, come and show your support this weekend!
