THE WHITE Tigers are on the Buildbase FA Trophy trail on Saturday as we play host to Weston super Mare in a first round tie which is being played at Treyew Road (kick-off 3.00pm).
Our opponents find themselves bottom of The National League South table with just two wins from their 20 League games so far, whilst we go into the game on a high following Tuesday’s hard-fought victory at Slough Town, a result which saw us reach the 20-point mark.
“I certainly think Weston super Mare are a better team than their current League position suggests,” admitted manager, Leigh Robinson. “They can be a real handful, as has been displayed in their FA Cup matches this season, but we are ready to face the challenge head-on to take us into what is a busy festive schedule in good spirits.
“We’re looking forward to the game; it also has the added incentive of it being back here in Cornwall and hopefully there will be a good turn-out of supporters to give us the backing that we need and help spur us on in this competition.
“There has been a lot of disappointment from fans who haven’t been able to watch the team this year, so it will be nice for us to be able to put on a performance for them.”
