The process of recruiting a new manager is well underway

Truro City Football Club manager Paul Wilkinson is set to leave the Club after being offered a role with Sky Bet League One side Bury FC.

Paul Wilkinson signed a full-time, two-year contract with Truro City FC on June 17, after taking on the role of caretaker manager in March.

Speaking on behalf of Truro City FC, Alex Black said: “Everyone at Truro City Football Club wants to wish Paul the best of luck as he looks to take his career to the next level in League One. It’s an exciting opportunity for any manager and certainly one we wouldn’t stop him from pursuing. Paul has made a significant contribution to the Club and we want to thank him for his input during this time.

“While his absence will be felt, we can reassure players and supporters that the process of recruiting a new manager is well underway and we have already had a number of exciting applicants. We will be in a position to share news of a new appointment as soon as possible.

“In the meantime, our preparations for the forthcoming season continue in earnest with our existing management team assisting with training and match preparation.”
