Former caretaker manager agrees to new full-time role to lead White Tigers

Truro City Football Club is delighted to announce that caretaker manager Paul Wilkinson has agreed a new two-year contract as full-time Manager of the Club.
Paul Wilkinson joined the Club in March as Caretaker Manager and has now taken up the role on a full-time basis.
Speaking as he signed contracts alongside the Club’s Finance Director Rebecca Thomas and Director Jack Richards, Paul Wilkinson said: “I am delighted to be joining Truro City in a full-time position. Since arriving in March I’ve been impressed with the level of enthusiasm and devotion from everyone involved at the Club; players, backroom staff and volunteers.
“It’s certainly an exciting time to be involved at Truro City and I’m now looking forward to officially starting as Manager and working alongside the coaching team to help create a Club that Cornwall can be proud of.”
The new appointment is the latest in a line of exciting signings for the Club, which was recently acquired by the Cornish Pirates.
Staff at Truro City are now busy preparing the ground and facilities for the official launch of the pre-season fixture list, which starts in July.
The next hotly anticipated fixtures at the Club’s Treyew Road ground in Truro will be two pre-season friendlies against some League competition who will be keen to launch their own seasons in winning spirit.
On Friday, July 5, Treyew Road will play host to Exeter City FC with a kick off time of 7pm while on Tuesday, July 9, Plymouth Argyle will make the journey to Cornwall in what is sure to be a very popular pre-season fixture. Kick off time for this game is 7.30pm.
Ticket prices for both fixtures have been set at just £10 for adults and £5 for concessions (over 65s and Under 16s). Tickets are available at the gate on the evening.
More pre-season fixtures are due to be announced very shortly.
Jack Richards, Club Director, said: “All involved at the Club are very excited to play host to two such quality teams in our pre-season preparation and we can’t wait to welcome fans old and new to the ground.”
Paul Wilkinson’s signing is just one of a number of new appointments at Truro City FC that are being seen as the beginning of a new era for the Club.
