CITY RETURN TO LEAGUE ACTION WITH TIVVY CLASH

Cameron Weldon

The White Tigers are back in Southern League Premier South action on Tuesday night as they take on Tiverton Town at Bolitho Park.

City had the weekend off after their league fixture with Hayes & Yeading United was postponed due to the hosts playing in the FA Cup.

Paul Wotton’s men have been in good form and are currently on a run of results at Bolitho Park with back-to-back wins over Chesham United and Harrow Borough.

The visitors beat Wimborne Town 1-0 on Saturday and currently sit 8th in the Southern League Premier South.

The two sides last met on Boxing Day 2019 on what was a real Christmas cracker at Treyew Road. Alex Fletcher scored twice either side of a Will Dean strike to put Tiverton 1-2 at half time. Former City man River Allen made it 1-3 to the Yellows before late goals from defenders Harlain Mbayo and Adel Gafaiti rescued the White Tigers a point.

Online tickets are now unfortunately off sale, but tickets will be available on the gate on the day.

The official match day programme ‘Roar’ is also on sale from just inside the ground by the turnstiles for the usual bargain price of just £2. In this week’s issue we hear defender Cheick Diabate who chats about how he’s settled in, his development and aims for the season.

Parking is limited at Bolitho Park, so the club recommends using public transport. More information here – https://www.trurocityfc.net/a/parking-at-bolitho-park-62517.html

For those supporters getting the free coach from Truro, it will be leaving Treyew Road at 5:15pm.

Come along and cheer on the boys to victory.
