THE WHITE Tigers return to Vanarama National League South business on Saturday as we aim to build on our current three-match unbeaten League run at Wealdstone (kick-off 3.00pm).

Having picked up five points and conceded just one goal from our last three League games, we made a disappointing exit from the Emirates FA Cup at the first hurdle at the hands of Winchester City last weekend, something that manager, Lee Hodges, is looking to draw a line under.

“We can’t wipe last Saturday’s performance from our memory, but what we have to do is move on from it and get back into the kind of form that we have displayed in the League recently,” he said. “We had a good, honest chat with the lads on Tuesday and there is a real determination from them to get back out there and start making amends.

“I am looking for the right response; it’s going to be a test of character, but win, lose or draw as long as they give it everything they have got, that’s all I can ask. It certainly wasn’t the case in the last game.

“It’s going to be a tough one on Saturday. Wealdstone are a strong team who are up there amongst the leading pack.

“We are well aware of the threats that they possess. Elliot Benyon has been scoring goals this season; he is someone I have known for a very long time and can be a real handful if we let him.

“We’ll be going there looking to be solid and difficult to break down. We’ve kept two clean sheets in our last three League games and by giving ourselves that kind of foundation we can then go on and get something.

“We’ve been solid and strong recently and we’re looking forward to getting back into that again at the weekend.”

Our hosts go into the game in sixth place in the table having won two of their four League games this month.
