JAMIE RICHARDS: In positive mood

4 months ago By Truro City Football Club

White Tigers ready for the next challenge...

THE WHITE Tigers are at Concord Rangers on Saturday with Jamie Richards keen to maintain the high standards that we have set ourselves so far.
"There were a few nerves going into the new season," he admitted. "But we had a positive pre-season where we worked hard and we've taken it into the new season.
"We've looked good so far and solid at the back; last season we leaked too many goals but we seem to have addressed that.
"We can't think that we've cracked it, though, there's a long way to go but we'll take this start.
"The next challenge comes at Concord Rangers and we'll go there with the right attitude. It should be a good game and we'll go there full of confidence.
"There's a real togetherness amongst this group. Pre-season really brought us closer together with everyone working for each other.
"We had a good spirit last season, but this is a step up from that."
The matches continue to come thick and fast and after Saturday we're back in home action on Tuesday evening for the visit of Bath City.
"It's a busy time, but we're enjoying it," added Richards. "We've got a bigger squad this season and all of the boys are feeling fit and enjoying their football.
"It'll be another big game on Tuesday, but first and foremost our attention is on getting the right result on Saturday."
