Truro City will compete in the National League South next season

Early last week, Truro City asked for expressions of interest from parties willing to offer additional investment into the club alongside the existing owners.

We are now happy to announce that there has been sufficient interest from would-be investors to support Truro City's continued participation in the National League South in the coming season. And the quest for promotion to the National League will, of course, be a top priority.

As well as substantial financial investment, these parties are also offering business development support. Negotiations on the details of investment will inevitably take time and will likely continue over the summer as the current owners must feel comfortable with any incoming parties.

It is important that Truro City is able to field a team that can be competitive in the National League South in the 2016-17 season. Building an infrastructure within the club in readiness for the move to the new stadium at Silver Bow in July 2017 is the other priority.

With that in mind, for 2016-17 a budget comparable to that for last season - which proved sufficient to take us to the play offs - has been put in place.

Over the coming weeks contract discussions will take place with the current management team and with existing and new players. As with all clubs at this time of year, there will be more comings and goings, but we can assure Truro City supporters that we will endeavour to build on the success of the last three and a half years both on and off the pitch.
