THE WHITE Tigers have today completed a hat-trick of new signings.
Emerging Bristol City youngsters, Jojo Wollacott and Tom Richards, have arrived on loan, whilst the experienced Paul Bignot has joined on a permanent basis.
Wollacott (pictured) is a familiar face after he had a successful spell on loan with us towards the end of last season. The talented goalkeeper has previously served the likes of Weymouth, Bergsoy IL of Norway, Bath City and Woking on loan.
Richards meanwhile is a hard-working midfielder with a fantastic engine who has progressed well through the Bristol City ranks. He is a talented youngster who is expected to carve out a good career for himself in the game and joins us to gain much-needed competitive experience.
Bignot is a versatile figure who can play in a number of different positions both in defence and midfield. He started his career with Crewe Alexandra before serving the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Newport County, Plymouth Argyle (on loan), Grimsby Town, Barrow and AFC Telford United. He has also been capped by England at C level.
“I am pleased with the signings and what each of them will add to the group,” said manager, Lee Hodges. “We need a bigger squad this season compared to last year because I felt that we ran out of legs towards the end.
“Jojo did well for us on loan at the back-end of last season; he has been in and around the Bristol City first-team during pre-season and they rate him very highly. He’s a young lad with a bright future and we’re delighted to get him back here.
“He joins alongside Tom who is full of life and energy. He likes to get on the ball and make things happen. We’ve been impressed when we have watched him in action.
“To have the experience and know-how of Paul is a big boost to us. It’s something that we’re lacking and he’ll be a vocal presence and organiser on the pitch. He has been in the game a long time and the opportunity to bring him here was too good to turn down.”
We welcome all three players to the club.
