If you were at Treyew Road yesterday for the Ebbsfleet match, you may have noticed four video cameras strategically placed around the pitch to record the action. The cameras were being wielded by students on Falmouth University's BA Television course, led by lecturer, David Morris.
This is the start of what we hope will be on ongoing partnership between the University and Truro City to offer highlights of the team's home games. The students are now working to produce a highlights package from yesterday's match that will be made available on the club's You Tube channel in due course.
This will be a valuable contribution to our efforts to promote Truro City to the Cornish public and will also offer the chance for those who attended the match to relive the key moments of the action.
And lurking in the stands yesterday were two students from Falmouth's Sports Journalism course, alongside Senior Journalism Lecturer, Bill Barclay. You'll find a match report and an interview with Steve Tully in another news piece on the website.
The students are also keen to contribute articles for the Match day Programme and the club website. Speaking as the club's hard-pressed programme editor and website news coordinator, I have accepted their offer eagerly, so look out for articles from this talented group of budding sports reporters in the very near future.
